Arizona 501(c)(3) Nonprofit

Clear direction for the organizations doing the work.

The Compass Project helps youth programs and small community organizations build the structure and systems they need to operate effectively and create lasting impact — moving from overwhelmed to a clear, practical path forward.

About Us

We help mission-driven organizations build what holds them steady.

The Compass Project is an Arizona-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that helps youth programs and small community organizations build the structure they need to create lasting impact.

Many mission-driven organizations have passionate leaders and meaningful goals but struggle with unclear processes, competing priorities, limited resources, or systems that have not kept pace with their growth. We help turn that overwhelm into a clear, practical path forward.

Through our signature 90-Day Reset, we work alongside organizations to identify their most pressing operational challenges, implement practical systems and solutions, train the people who will use them, and reinforce the improvements so they can be sustained long after our engagement ends.

What makes us different is that we do more than offer advice. We help organizations build and put solutions into practice — creating clarity, strengthening operations, and helping the people doing important community work move forward with confidence.

Who We Help

Built for youth programs and small community organizations.

We primarily support mission-driven organizations experiencing operational challenges, rapid growth, unclear processes, or limited internal capacity.

Youth programs

After-school, mentoring, athletics, and enrichment programs whose operations have not kept pace with the community they serve.

Growing community organizations

Small nonprofits adding staff, funding, or programs faster than their internal structure can support.

Teams without clear process

Organizations where roles, handoffs, and decisions live in people's heads instead of shared, documented systems.

Leaders pulled in every direction

Directors carrying competing priorities who need help deciding what matters most right now.

Stretched capacity

Teams doing meaningful work with limited staff, volunteers, and time — where every inefficiency costs the mission.

Schools and community partners

Partners coordinating shared programs who need clearer communication rhythms and accountability.

Our Signature Engagement

The 90-Day Reset

Three phases that move an organization from operational overwhelm to a clear, sustainable way forward.

  1. Days 1–30

    Diagnose and Prioritize

We listen to leaders and team members, review current processes, identify the most significant barriers, and determine which improvements will create the greatest immediate impact.

  2. Days 31–60

    Build and Implement

We work alongside your team to create and implement practical solutions: clarifying roles and responsibilities, improving workflows, documenting processes, establishing communication rhythms, creating planning tools, and strengthening accountability.

  3. Days 61–90

    Reinforce and Hand Off

We train and coach the people who will own the new systems, measure early progress, make necessary adjustments, and create a sustainability plan so improvements continue after our engagement ends.

How We Help

Hands-on support, shaped to what your organization needs.

The 90-Day Reset

Our signature engagement: diagnose and prioritize, build and implement, then reinforce and hand off so the improvements last.

Organizational Clarity Assessment

For organizations unsure where to begin — a focused review of challenges, priorities, processes, and capacity, delivered as clear priorities and a practical roadmap.

Training and Capacity Building

Practical workshops, tools, and coaching that help staff and volunteers use new processes confidently and sustain improvements over time.

Custom Project Support

Focused, short-term support for a specific operational challenge. Each partnership is evaluated on organizational need, community impact, and our available capacity.
